" Super X-8 Skywalker" Super Modified Almost finish product

Well here is my work on the last 5 months or so in  "I was Slaving my self over a Hot X-8 Skywalker" After the last crash I decided that in stead of starting fresh with the brand new plane that I have in a box, it was simple to start with the old 15 pound plane! The first thing that I have to do was to reduce the weigh! This plane have lost a whoopping 6 pounds! now is only 9.. and I may find a few ways to reduce the weight even more! I'm perfectly aware that I still need to develop the drag rudders but I need to enjoy a bit this plane and I will keep working on it as time passes by.
I hope all of you enjoy the work that I have done! and a special thanks to Fred for his initial support and hard work on the firs plane! He was my inspiration. Thanks you very much my friend.

Nice job you did  it seems that I ever seen that kind of cockpit before  
A suggestion : because you'll have sun reflects (it's very annoying   ) on the bottom Windows, you should install an horizontal separation wall. You can make it with painted black thick paper, it weights nothing.

I had one in my X8 too, and each time I have below Windows. Look well at my videos, you'll see it but it's discreet.

I'm not sure drag rudders are very imortant on a X8. But this plane lacks washout. If I'd built a new one, I'd sure twist back a part of the leading edges, but probably I'd forget the drag rudders. But a good landing break would increase confort

Your bird is still a bit heavy but it's quiet better, now. Choose a tall grass field and don't take useless risks. And Show us the videos

If you have seen the first video that I send you before I make my first flight.. you can see that the camera is connected to a 3 axis gyro that compensate a very large amount of the heavy and strong yanking of the plane "Due to Improper set up of the autopilot!" I still working on it and I'm very sure that very soon I will have all of that smoothed out to the point that it will look very peaceful and nice,

I'm very very sorry for the crash of your fragata plane!! It is such a beautiful plane.. please show photos of it when ever you manage to fix it... Thanks for your prompt response.

I see. Maybe a little tunning the gain of the gyro, or something like that, will solve this little problem
I wish you to have a lot of fun with your plane. I think you're about to be successfull

My Frégate is slightly damaged only. It will fly again, but now I'm a bit fed up to be stressed each time I launch it, and I preffer to fly with aesyer but less performance planes. It really is a good plane when it flyes, but I think it is a bit to heavy for my catapult. And I chouldn't launch it if I haven't a good 10km/h (or more) front wind

Yes, I mean I have literally 4 cords that do the job of catapulting my plane,, I tried with tow only but there was not enough power so I did double it and the results whee very good!
